    Call of Duty: Black Ops II is an upcoming first-person shooter video game, developed by Treyarch and published by Activision (Square Enix for Japan), to be released on November 13, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Black Ops II is the ninth game in the Call of Duty franchise of video games and a sequel to the 2010 game Call of Duty: Black Ops.
    Black Ops II is the first game in the Call of Duty franchise to have a completely futuristic setting and feature future warfare technology. It also presents branching storylines driven by player choice for the first time in the franchise's history.

    Possible Multiplayer Information (NOT CONFIRMED)

    Game Modes
    Escort
    A game mode in which you escort a player across three flags to achieve victory. The enemy team killing the player will result in a win for their side.

    Split Spawn
    A game mode in which you spawn from a hellicopter, and climb down to get to the ground. The player starts with 3 lives. One player can control the chopper to let you climb down in different areas, as well as shoot from the chopper. If the chopper is destroyed, players can no longer spawn. Players compete for a central flag that takes 2x as long to capture than a regular domination flag. Either the death of all opposing players or the capturing of the flag will grant you a win. This game has 2 rounds.

    Equalizer
    A game mode in which players are switched to the enemy team upon death. Players will compete for a flag, which when owned, open up a power plant to allow the player to customize their class in game, get new weapons, and put on a juggernaut suit for their team only.When there are 2 players left on a team, they are granted with the power plant automatically, and pointstreaks up to a 5 point requirement can also be obtained. If either of the two players die, they will remain on their own team. The team with the most converts (kills) at the end will win. If tied, whoever is currently owning the power plant will win.

    Drop Zone and Kill Confirmed will return

    Team Defender and Infected will not return

    Perks
    Perk System 2.0
    The Perk Pro system has been upgraded
    There is now 2 options a perk can advance to.
    Both require different challenges to unlock
    Once the desired Pro version is unlocked, the player can select that as their “Perk Pro”.
    Once selected, the only way to choose the other option is by entering prestige mode.
    For example Perk slot 1 has the perk called Speed
    Speed – Reduces the time taken to aim down the sight
    Pro I – Swaps weapons faster
    Pro II – Throws equipment faster

    To clarify what elite is, it is a side-pro perk you can choose when leveling up the base perk. These elite perks ONLY work if paired with another BASE perk.

    Spy
    Appear as a friend on the map. (Disadvantage is, you’re always spotted even without a UAV, and when shooting, you turn red on the map)
    Pro – Detect enemy spies. They will still always be spotted on the radar.
    Elite – If Pilot is active, your airship will be marked as an ally.

    Escape Artist
    When going prone, you feign death (You cannot shoot during)
    Pro – When approaching death, the enemies crosshairs will turn to white, and your name will dissapear.
    Elite – if Diver is active – You realistically fall into your feign death instead of diving.

    Audiophile
    Players with silenced weapons will show on your radar if they are shooting at you or close around you.
    Pro – Footsteps are louder
    Elite – If bladesman is active – kniving will show up on the radar

    Defuser
    Throw all equipment but cookable grenades up to 2x farther – a hollow circle will show up around your crosshairs, and the circle will fill in 3 seconds. When the circle is full, it will throw 2x farther, when it is empty, it will throw 1x as far.
    Pro – Be able to take semtex off of players and throw them elsewhere, and be able to pick up any enemy equipment and use it as your own.
    Elite – if quickdraw is active – the circle will fill in 1.5 seconds.

    Juggernaut
    Regenerate health faster while moving
    Pro – Regenerate health faster while crouched
    Elite – If scavenger is active – you are able to drop ammo packs for your team.

    Diver
    You can dive into cover (A.K.A. Dolphin Dive) – and while diving you can still shoot, however when you land it takes awhile to regain focus.
    Pro – You crawl 2x faster
    Elite – With Extreme conditioning active – You can sprint while crawling to crawl faster (3x) instead of getting up.

    Pilot
    Your flying killstreak’s kills will count towards your next killstreak.
    Pro – Your controllable flying killstreaks will last until they are shot down.
    Elite – With blind eye active – Your uncontrollable flying killstreaks will not show on the map.

    Technician
    Any land killstreak’s kills will count towards your next killstreak.
    Pro – Your Advnaced UAVS will disable the enemies UAV
    Elite – If defuser is active, your sentries cannot be taken down instantly.

    Bladesman
    You have 2 knives in each hand instead of just one in one hand. (This essentially makes knives kill twice as fast.)
    Pro – You have a chance of dodging the incoming players knife.
    Elite – If assasin is active – kniving will be completely silent and not show on the killfeed, unless countered by audiophile elite.

    Conciousness
    While standing, you are just as accurate as when you are prone
    Pro – Your bullets cause more flinching.
    Elite – If marksman is active – shooting your enemy will mark him on the mini map.

    Focus
    Be able to shoot while sprinting, even at the deduction of accuracy.
    Pro – Be able to shoot while jumping, even at the deduction of accuracy.
    Elite – If stalker is active – when jumping, equipment does less damage to you.

    Deep Impact
    Your bullets shoot through hard surfaces.
    Pro – Your bullets gain 50% damage with each person they go through.
    Elite – if steady aim is active – when hip-firing, your bullets have 10% more damage with each person they go through.

    Knife Melee Slot
    Default Knife
    Takes 2 swipes to kill, you need to put it away, and take it back out like usual.

    Tactical knife
    Takes 4 swipes to kill, as long as you are pushing the melee button however, it will keep knifing

    Tactical hammer
    takes longer to get out, takes 4 swipes to kill, you need to put it away and take it back out like usual, but against riot shields and machines it takes only 1 swipe to destroy.

    Throwing knifes
    Start with 4, fast to get out, fairly accurate, but takes 2 to kill and is ranged

    Tomahawks
    Start with 2, slow to get out, fairly innacurate, and takes 1 to kill and is ranged

    Ballistic knife
    [Disallows use of equipment] – A tactical knife in one hand, while a ballistic knife is in the other. You start with 2 ballistic knives, and they kill in 1 shot. These knives take a moderate time to get out. (With Bladesman on, you start with 3 ballistic knives and one ballistic knife in each hand.)

    Heat vision
    When you get the required points, you can activate this Pointstreak and your player pulls out a scope and attaches it to your weapon.
    This scopes main advantage is it’s ability to detect enemies through most walls.
    Note, the scope can only be attached to primaries not including shotguns
    Item Packages
    Requires 5 points
    Fall along side care packages and air drop traps.
    Features a list of package items only
    Including ammo, mini gun, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, and body armor

    There will be 15 prestiges
    There will be 50 ranks
    Every two prestiges there is a 5 rank increase
    The final prestige has 90 levels

    ELITE is being fully incorporated into Black Ops 2
    Combat record has been modified and re-named as ELITE Stats
    There will be a specific lobby for clan matches (new way of leveling clans)

    Map design and size will be following Black Ops not Modern Warfare 3

    Customization
    No longer just perk 1 chooses the players appearance
    Appearance is a combination of all perks and type of Pointstreak being used.

    Larger emphasis on hardcore than ever before
    No grenade launchers
    Only vehicle guided rocket launchers permitted
    Respawn timings decreased (for most modes)
    1 bullet in the foot will no longer kill a person, a head or chest shot is usually required.
    A person will now bleed out if severely injured.

    Black Ops 2 Zombies to Feature 8-Player Co-Op

    Official PlayStation Magazine UK had the opportunity to speak with Mark Lamia, the head of Treyarch studio. During their conversation, Lamia revealed new information regarding the zombies mode in this year’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

    “Our zombies fans want more zombies,” he revealed somewhat unsurprisingly. Hang on though, he’s going somewhere with this. “They literally want more zombies and they want more ways to play” (see). That means Black Ops 2 will be expanding on what the previous games have done before with the undead.

    “They want bigger maps” says Lamia. “They want even more interesting things to do inside these levels. So we are crafting new worlds, creating new game modes and bigger worlds.” Much of what this new zombies will bring is partly due to an undead tech upgrade. “We’ve actually put [zombies] inside of our multiplayer engine and it’s capable of doing twice as many zombies, twice as many co-op players.”

    Eight player zombies is more than just a bigger set up, it’s changing the entire game. “There are actually new modes,” says Lamia. “There’s classic mode that you guys are used to but there are going to be new modes. [Twice as many co-op players] introduces some interesting new gameplay modes. Perhaps you can think of some team game modes where there might be fun to be had?”

    Seems like Black Ops 2 zombies is getting a huge step-up from its predecessor. We can also assume that because they’ll be using their multiplayer engine for zombies, this would allow 4-player split-screen, as opposed to just two.

    But he wasn’t done yet. Lamia added, “There’s a lot there. It’s its own game mode. There’s a totally new creative fiction. We’re going for it this time on zombies.”
